Hawks at Lunch: Imagine sitting outside at lunch in Scottsdale - when you see a Hawk flying near the table:
It turns out that the Hawk was on “Bird Security Patrol” - keeping birds away from our tables:
HR Leaders’ Perspectives: It has been intriguing to listen to many of the hundreds of Human Resource and Learning leaders at the i4cp Conference, highlighting the trends in major corporations in 2022. Here is my mind map of the topics that were in conversations with these Talent/People leaders:
Trek Planning - To California and Back East: Today, in addition to attending wonderful knowledge sessions at the event, I have been on my laptop - plotting out the route for the continuation of our trip starting tomorrow at 7 am.
Heading to Los Angeles (about 6 hours - with a stop at Joshua Tree National Park and two Tesla Superchargers along US Route 10.
Staying in Venice Beach - and putting toes in water - completing the trek from the Atlantic to the
Visits with Friends from Learning and Theater Communities in Los Angeles.
Then, creating a route from LA to Salt Lake City, to Denver and Eastward to with stops at Learning departments, work on our Open Source Learning Boot Camp with my colleague Dana Koch and continuing to explore the vastness of America.
Been using a variety of apps and GPS programs, including Tesla’s planner. I found a new app - “A Better Route Planner” - https://abetterrouteplanner.com/ that does a wonderful job of plotting roads and Tesla charging stops along the way. Here is an example of our trip tomorrow:
Planning a 7,000 mile journey is a complex and intriguing process - adding EV charging, personal energy levels, stops for Video Keynotes from the front seat, food and hotel options and even weather. Social media sites have added wonderful additional context from other road trippers.
