Round Trip to Saratoga, Wings & Miles of Trek
Sunday, we left Cleveland planning to spend one more night on the road, in Buffalo or Rochester, before heading back to Saratoga. After passing through Erie, PA, we encountered a sign, welcoming us back to our home state of NY:
I recalled visits to the most Western part of NY from decades ago, as we passed:
Vineyards in Fredonia, NY - where grapes for wine and grape juice are emerging from the winter weather.
Chautauqua - a cultural “village” that had a huge impact on former Disney CLO, Michael Eisner. This was one of the influencers for the design and engagement activities of Disney Institute.
Wings & Beef on Weck: The food highlight of the day happened in Bar Bill Tavern, a neighborhood bar/restaurant in East Aurora, near Buffalo. Their two main foods, which became our final “meal on the road” were Very Hot Wings and Beef on Weck:
Saratoga Springs - Here We Come: So, with 4 1/2 hours to Saratoga - on a snowy day - after two amazing lunches, we decided: let’s head home tonight. As the sun was setting, we looked out the window and saw the welcome sign:
Our dashboard showed a total of 7.407 miles in 32 days - using 2,433 kiloWattHours of electrical charge:
It was an amazing month of learning, discovery, connections and more
Tomorrow, I will publish the “What I Discovered & Learned on the Trek” post.
