Sushi with TikTok Star, Eastbound to Nevada, Blogging Tools Used for Trek, Concert in Vegas Tonight
A wonderful dinner at Yamashiro in Hollywood with AnnaMaria de Tagle Klein, an actress friend who we produced in Godspell on Broadway. AnnaMaria is a very popular TikTok producer of family oriented clips with her daughter Amelia and husband Scott (millions of views):
The view from this of Los Angeles from the restaurant took our breath away:
This morning, the second part of our Trek Across America started - as we headed East, towards Nevada:
My Tools for TeslaTrip Blog & Emails: A number of folks have asked what tools I am using to create, edit and distribute this blog/email from the road. It is actually a combo of cloud software, mobile devices and apps:
Blogging System: I am using Substack, a free content blogging platform as the core of the process. It is easy to use and creates both a direct web blog as well as an email distribution of each post.
Photos: Taking photos and video’s with our Apple iPhones.
Converting & Editing Photos to JPEG: I use the editing functions of Preview to crop and convert the HEIC files to JPEG (the required format for Substack).
Videos: These take a few steps:
Shooting the video with iPhone
Import the video to Apple’s Movie app.
Trim, edit and adjust the audio on the video in Movie.
Export the file to Vimeo Cloud.
Add the URL to Vimeo in Substack
Posting, Adding to Facebook/LinkedIn and Emailing: Substack sends the email to the several hundred friends that have signed up. It also provides an easy way to add a post to Facebook and other social media.
Multi-Step & Smooth Process: Writing it down makes it sound pretty complex. But it is easy to do using my iPhone and sometimes my MacBook from the passenger seat of the Tesla, linked to the T-Mobile from my phone.
Vegas for a Katy Perry Concert Tonight: Decided to stay in Vegas for one night, see some friends and take in the Katy Perry Concert at Resort Worlds. Got upper level mezzanine seats on StubHub and are playing her music in the car to get ready for the concert:
Have a great Saturday!
